These homeowners love plants and wanted to ensure they had ample gardens to enjoy in their smaller-sized backyard.

The curved patio and paths are surrounded by perennial beds and bring the plants right into the lounging and walkway areas to enjoy up close. A custom cedar planter box was installed in the sunny alley and planted with herbs and pollinators specific to the owner’s request. The garden beds are set off by LED lighting and a sprinkler system was installed to keep the gardens watered regularly.

The front yard, also featured on Houzz, offers pretty curb appeal with its perennial part shade garden and natural rock details. As well as a river rock border, large rocks were installed around the tree as a buffer and planted with groundcover. A weeping Japanese maple adds some height and yews and lush hydrangeas add some privacy near the front porch.

Customer review

We hired earth and sole three years ago to redo our front yard. They did a terrific job so this year we hired them to do the back! Shelby and Adrian are amazing. From the design, to the quote, to the actual work and to all the little touches along the way, we could not ask for a more professional, courteous and responsive duo. We have no hesitation in recommending them!
